With its repeated notes of variable speeds,  which slowly awaken, fall asleep, then spring up again, always more numerous and varied, the theme is established and slowly progresses towards a paroxysm of trills using the whole range of the piano, finally falling away at the end of a long ralentando. Also, these last bars illustrate the homage that this work humbly pays to the great polish composer.
